The Modern Data Stack bootcamp
presented by dbt Labs x Fivetran x Databricks
Join dbt Labs, Fivetran and Databricks in their upcoming bootcamp, taking place in Melbourne 27th April.
Led by local instructors, this session will use real-world data sets as we go under the hood to demonstrate how to use robust technologies such as dbt, Fivetran, Delta Lake and Databricks SQL.
Free to attend, these hands-on workshops are suited for data practitioners in data engineering, data science, analytics and BI. Gain a better understanding of how Databricks Lakehouse supports data and AI initiatives and allows practitioners to work more collaboratively and innovate faster. No immediate knowledge of dbt, Fivetran or Databricks is required.
This full-day session will cover the fundamentals of the Modern Data Stack on Databricks. You will get best-practice tips for how to build a production-ready data pipeline with the Modern Data Stack, and use the data outputs to build high-value use cases for Business Intelligence and Machine Learning. We will start with database ingestion through Fivetran, followed by building out production data transformation pipelines through dbt on Delta Lake, and finish by creating both an interactive, business-ready dashboard with Databricks SQL and a simple AutoML Classification model using Databricks ML. The agenda will be a mix of technology deep-dives, hands-on labs and activities.
Please ensure to bring a laptop (and charger) in order to participate in the hands-on labs.
Limited seats are available for this workshop. Please ensure to secure a seat by registering.
