As VP of Data Platform Engineering at Viacom, he leads a team of data engineers to build systems and applications that provide people across Viacom with the data they need for analysis, machine learning, and reuse in other applications. Mark has been a hands-on engineer on many applications from the early days of the Web and has lead the development on a number of critical initiatives at Viacom including their digital music platform, content recommendation engine, and Quality of Experience service used to provide internal teams with real-time metrics on streaming content.
